Chula Vista FC’s MLS Next coaching staff did an awesome job at the MLS Next Fest Showcase!

Our teams looked great and fought hard every minute of every game. This was highlighted by the fact that our U17s and U15s did not lose a game.

MLS Next Fest Showcase highlights!

Here are the goals by our Chula Vista FC MLS Next U17s in their amazing comeback win against Alexandria SA last Monday in the MLS Next Fest Showcase.

Our boys were down 1-3 with 20 minutes left in the game, but they scored 3 goals in 13 minutes to complete the comeback to beat Alexandria SA, 4-3. Elvis Villalva scored CVFC’s first goal in the 60th minute to make the score 1-2. Then, Alexandria SA added another goal in the 66th minute to make the score 1-3 in their favor. But our boys never gave up, and in the 70th minute, Iker Fiol scored to narrow the score to 2-3. Six minutes later, Elvis scored his second goal of the game to tie the score 3-3, setting up the miracle comeback for Pablo Enriquez to score the winning goal in the 83rd minute.

This team has always given us thrilling comebacks and this one was one of them for sure!

Way to go boys! Great job!!

Chula Vista FC MLS Next U15’s Quincy Lamar scor

Chula Vista FC MLS Next U15’s Quincy Lamar scores a golazo to give his team a 1-1 tie against Springfield SYC in their last game of the MLS Next Fest Showcase.

Alexander Carbajal recovered the ball and then passed it to Quincy who then used his strength and speed to score this golazo.

Our U15s ended up undefeated with a 1-0-2 record.

Chula Vista FC’s MLS Next’s U15s and U16s team

Chula Vista FC’s MLS Next’s U15s and U16s teams will close their participation today in the MLS Next Fest Showcase.

Our U15s (1-0-1) will face Springfield SYC (1-1) at 11 AM and our U16s (0-1-1) will play against TSF Academy (2-0) at 8 AM.

Yesterday, the U15s tied Sporting AC, 0-0, and our U16s lost to Valeo FC, 1-3.

All games are being played at Empire Polo Ground Soccer Fields in Indio, CA.

Our Chula Vista FC’s MLS Next’s teams were well represented in the MLS Next Fest’s Best Of Matches last Sunday!

Our U19s’ goalkeeper, Oliver Holt, was named to the U19 West squad and our U15s’ right back, Jake Mendez-Ponce, was named to the U15 West squad in the MLS Next Fest Best Of Matches played last Sunday.

Proud of Oliver and Jake for their achievements!!
