Chula Vista FC is proud to celebrate a historic achievement as our BU13 MLS NEXT team became the first team in club history to reach the MLS NEXT Cup Final.
This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment displayed throughout the season by our players, coaches, and families. Their journey to the championship match showcased the character and quality of this special group.
The road to the final included impressive victories over:
IdeaSport — 8-1
The Town FC Academy — 2-1
Tulsa Greenwood FC — 2-1
LASC — 1-0
After finishing the season with an outstanding 19-10-4 record, the boys continued their impressive run through the playoffs, earning a place on one of the biggest stages in youth soccer.
In the MLS NEXT Cup Final, Chula Vista FC faced a talented Indy Eleven side. CVFC struck first and took a 1-0 lead into the first half thanks to a beautifully executed free kick from Benjamin Corral-Huizar. Despite a tremendous effort, Indy Eleven rallied to claim a 2-1 victory in a hard-fought championship match.
While the final result was not what we hoped for, this team’s achievement will forever be part of Chula Vista FC history. Throughout the season, they represented our club with pride, resilience, passion, and unwavering determination.
We congratulate all of our players, coaches, and families on an unforgettable season and a milestone accomplishment that has set a new standard for the future of our club.
