Chula Vista FC B2009 MLS Next’s, Anthony Valadez, signs with Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente!
Another Chula Vista FC player has signed with Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente. Last year, center forward, Bryan Yael Ramos, and goalkeeper, Emilio Silva, signed contracts with the Liga MX club. This time, it was Anthony Valadez’s turn.
CVFC’s Academy Director, Jose Hector Diaz, had this to say: “Anthony was a member of our club two years ago. After taking a season away, he returned this summer and quickly found success, earning a spot on the Mexican national team and attracting interest from numerous Mexican professional clubs. We’re thrilled for him and the exciting new chapter in his development. It’s an honor that Chula Vista FC could play a role in supporting his pathway to success.”
His B2009 MLS Next coach, Fernando Mares, had this to say: “I am proud to see Anthony Valadez take this step in his career by signing an academy contract with Xolos. Throughout his time with us, he’s demonstrated a clear desire to pursue opportunities at the professional level. This move is a reflection of his commitment and determination. I wish him the best as he continues his development in this new environment.”
Anthony played center back for the B2009 MLS Next squad and was their captain. Last Summer, Anthony had already gotten some attention from the Mexican National Team at the ID camp that Chula Vista FC hosted. He was selected to train in Toluca, Mexico, with the Mexico’s U16 National Team in September along with CVFC’s teammate, Joaquin Jackson.
We at CVFC wish Anthony the best of luck in his new adventure and we are sure that he will be a total success in his soccer career!
