“I want to dedicate this game to our former club Presidents Hugo Molina and Oscar Zamora for all their hard work in the year’s past to get us where we are right now!!” Head Coach Jose Hector Diaz said after the game. “I feel awesome!!” Diaz concluded.
Alberto Diaz, who scored Chula Vista FC’s first goal, said: “I am very happy!! Especially, for all the people that came to the game to support us.” Diaz felt that the key to winning this game was that: “We were patient and had ball possession. We knew they would not be able to harm us without the ball.”
With the win, Chula Vista advances to the second round to face the LA Wolves FC who defeated San Diego Zest 4-2. The game will be held next Wednesday, May 17th at 7:30 PM at Azusa Pacific University Soccer Field.
