"Winning the Regional Championship in Sacramento with CVFC! One of my top accolades playing the sport I love!" - Vincent Acevedo

“It’s not going to be a huge upset in my mind if we win,” Diaz says of playing in an 11,000-seat stadium Wednesday against a Sacramento Republic team currently in second place in the USL’s 12-team West division. “It will be for them.” – Jose Hector Diaz

“I just thought there was too much focus on running and strength and weights, and not enough on technique,” Diaz says. “I will tell you a big part of our success over the years is technical ability. These guys are really, really good. There’s a benefit to being small, and that’s quickness and skill. I think that gets overlooked. – Jose Hector Diaz

CVFC will not judge based on anything other than being a great soccer player.” – CVFC

“(The campaign) only adds fuel to our fire,” said Diaz. “Knowing all these people are rooting for us. We are more than grateful for all the support that has been shown our way and we will repay those by playing our heart out.” – Jose Hector Diaz

“We just want to prove we have the talent to play with the big boys, the big leagues … We’re not playing for money. The only thing we’re playing for is ourselves, our friends, our families, and our community.” – Jimmy Estrada

“I honestly think its chemistry,” says Alvarado, the CVFC captain who played sparingly at SDSU. “A lot of guys have been together since 6, 7 years old. We know where each other is going to be on the field, what we’re going to do, before the play even develops. It’s a huge advantage.” - Luis Alvarado
